In the morning, participants travel to Sembalun village, the starting point of the trek.
After registration at the national park office, the trek begins across a wide savanna landscape with spectacular mountain views.

The trek continues down to Segara Anak Lake, where hikers arrive in the afternoon and set up camp near the lakeshore.
