This 3 Days 2 Nights Trek takes you to the summit of Mount Rinjani, Segara Anak Lake, hot springs, and the beautiful Waterfall Penimbungan.
The journey starts in Sembalun and ends in Torean. We highly recommend physical preparation for this trek, and it’s ideal for experienced hikers.
Unlike the 3-day Sembalun to Senaru trek, this adventure includes the stunning Penimbungan Waterfall, a highlight of the trek. Enjoy breathtaking views, a challenging climb, and the incredible natural beauty that makes this trek a truly unique experience.
Arrival Day:
- Meet your guide at your accommodation or our office for a comprehensive briefing about the trekking procedures.
- Optional Excursion: If you arrive in Senaru at least 3 hours before sunset, take the chance to visit the stunning Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls.
Day 1: Trek to Sembalun Crater Rim
Kick off your adventure with a fulfilling breakfast at 7 AM, then take a scenic 1-hour drive to Sembalun Village for check-in at the Rinjani National Park office.
the trek starts from Sembalun (1,100m) as you head towards Pos 1 (1,300m), which takes about 2 hours. After a short 15-minute break, continue the hike to Pos 2 (1,500m) for a 1-hour lunch stop.
Next, hike for roughly 45 minutes to reach Pos 3 (1,800m), followed by a 15-minute rest at Pos 4 (Cemara Siu). Finally, ascend to the Crater Rim Sembalun (2,639m), where you’ll set up camp, enjoy a delicious dinner, and take in the breathtaking sunset views of Mount Rinjani.
Day 2: Summit, Lake, and Hot Springs
Wake up early at 02:30 for a light breakfast with tea or coffee, then begin the 3-hour ascent to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m), aiming to reach the top by 06:00 to enjoy the stunning sunrise and panoramic views of Lombok Island and the crater lake.
After spending about 30 minutes taking in the views, descend back to the Sembalun Crater Rim for a hearty breakfast, then continue your descent towards Segara Anak Lake and the hot springs (approximately 2.5 hours). Here, you’ll have lunch by the lake, relax in the therapeutic hot springs,
After swiming at the hot sring then continue to the Propok campsite for 3 hours walk to your second night of camping.
Day 3: Descent to Torean Village
- After breakfast, start your descent to Torean Village, with stunning views and waterfalls penimbungan on the way.
- Before reaching the finish point, savor a packed lunch at Birisan Nangka prepared by our team.
- 13:30: Arrive at Torean Village, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to our office or to your hotel in senaru.

Important Notes:
- Booking Confirmation: A 20% deposit of the total price is required for confirmation. The remainder must be paid in cash (IDR) on the arrival day at our office.
